Description
A team of Russian rock-climbers establish a new route on Great Sail Peak. The wall is 1,500 m long. Average steepness, 85 to 90 degrees. At the end of the ascent, Valeri Rozov jumped off the wall in a ‘winged’ suit. A Humourous and wacky musical.
The Great Sail peak is in the north of Canada, beyond the Polar Circle, in the Baffin island. In May 2002, as a part of ‘The Russian Way – Walls of the World’ project, a team of Russian rock-climbers, featuring Alexander Odintsov, Alexander Ruchkin, Alexander Klenov, Mikhail Davy, as well as Valery Rosov, rock-climber and BASE jumper, has established a new unique route they called ‘RUBICON’. The wall is 1,500 m long. Average steepness, 85 to 90 degrees. At the end of the ascent, Valeri Rozov jumped off the wall in a ‘winged’ suit. The flight lasted 55 seconds. The ascent lasted 16 days.
A Humourous and wacky musical.
