Genre: Exploration Films & Movies

Exploration films and movies take us on often-treacherous journeys all over the globe.  A rare archive film From the Ocean to the Sky sees Ed Hillary returning to the Himalaya to explore the Ganges. Everest dominates once more - through a truly complete ascent of all 8874 m by McCartney-Snape, whilst Leo Dickinson's film of the first ascent without oxygen by Messner and Habeler shows them breaking through barriers deemed impossible. Then to an exceptional ascent by blind Eric Weissmeyer, filmed magnificently by Michael Brown in Farther Than the Eye Can See.
